"The Wisdom of Life" by Arthur Schopenhauer

well this is good(!!)

right out the gate, i was quite aware the language & directness to point were going to be hallmarks of this book, & by the end, was the case — this is a spot-on treatment of the specific subjects it hits: namely fame, internal constitution, & even dueling [honor vs merit, in a sense]

great stuff, & one i could sure recommend to fans of philosophy [those lovers of wisdom]
