supremely good book -- a faithful translation of the original language(s), w/ enough description & guiding to really bring home these stories

sincerely, this is easily the best volume of Norse mythology i've come across, & all in such a handy, beautiful/elegant book

the stories are fun, short, digestible poems telling the tales of Odin, Thor, Loki, Sigurth, & many many many more

here we meet giants, dwarves, elves... gods

we meet tricksters & kings, betrayers & the betrayed -- lots of blood paints the images described in these stories

​​​​​​​it really is one i'd have to fully recommend to ANYONE interested in mythology, & especially Norse -- the translator did a superb job

a treat, to say the least
