really really good(!)

a university course/audiobook about the pagan (rustic, country, heathen) world as it lead up to Rome & its essential banishment

this book is chocked full of history & wide-ranging concepts, & is refreshing & interesting(!)

areas of discussion include calendars, Caesars, religious & political movements, & of course more

the book is a collection of lectures, strewn together nicely, & was worth the while
