"The Master and Margarita" by Mikhail Bulgakov
book review by Riley Burnham 8/2/2023
well this was good -- a bit different; certainly fanciful fiction...
a story including Satan as a character [or, the 'Lord of Darkness,' however you spin that]
we're introduced to a variety of characters, from conversationalists [this seems to be the overture of the story: a conversation from the beginning, wherein people use casual language, such as "Devil take me," which of course here is heard & acted upon], shape-shifting cats, a fanged man, women who ride broomsticks... all over the place lol
i certainly lost the thread at some point & just took the bits & parts as they washed through my ears... seemed to have an interesting resolution, & ultimately is just a vivid & somewhat thought-provoking book
