really good(!)

this gives us a very intimate connection w/ these old works, translated w/ great care & presented well

we get poems of riddles; poems told from the perspective of Christ's cross [wow!!]; & plenty of others, from war & more

i'll likely revisit this one to attempt some of those riddles, which the rear of the book gives solutions to

additionally, this book is full of excellent & suggestive history(!)
