well this was a good one [audiobook 👍👍]

Obama's such a good speaker & orator, that his books are usually quite the joy & journey

this was written when he was a senator, & so has a perspective as such: bright-eyed, fair, idyllic -- he expounds on multi-faceted political positions & common pitfalls, like Affirmative Action, religious plurality, etc.

it's refreshing to rehear his Hope messages, which really are/were refreshing [in practice is perhaps another conversation, since he put his ideas/efforts to the test in the subsequent years]

basically a wise & unique character, politician, man, husband, father...
