really really good(!!) phenomenal actually

thoroughly enjoyed this one; went down easy

a series of lectures on the subject of Anglo-Saxons from history to modern more or less -- focusing on existing poetry [Beowolf & others], & a variety of facets surrounding these peoples 

we learn of the Norman conquest & the Vikings, good kings, translators, common mistranslations... thorough & certainly thought-provoking, this encourages me to continue exploring these centuries [like 500-1100 AD] & to read some of the primary texts
