wow(!!)

surprisingly tender & serious, this ol' novella puts is in the midst of a young shopgirl who is seduced & wisened by an older man -- bereft w/ some pitfalls

we get her opening up to her parents, getting somewhat assertive, & wrapping up the tryst in a warm way

good book(!) now i'd like to see the movie...
