great overview & extremely insightful into nature & causes of ADD -- very practical

seems ADD is much-related to [keenly] a lack of adequate/proper/sufficient attention paid TO the sufferer: a la the behaviors associated can be traced to the sufferer seeking to soothe emotions that would otherwise be corrected for/tolerated

much of this is related to rejection; shame; worthiness

sufferers will often seek "addictive" behaviors in order to alleviate symptoms [unpleasant thoughts/emotions & fear of honoring them], which is of course a dangerous & insufficient method for treating what is otherwise a lack of love [warm embrace, security/safety, comfort]

it seems some medications do well to balance the endorphin systems of the body, which appears to be at the root of the issue [more endorphins are probably better]; so results may vary

trauma is a key here
