phenomenal book

this is William's ode to his late best friend, Leonard Nimoy -- Mr. Spock

we get an intimate portrayal of this unique character & honorable man -- from his Jewish roots to his end-of-life trials -- told w/ care & warmth

we hear about the process of creating Star Trek, as well as refining the characters to what we've come to know -- fascinating(!)

​​​​​​​in the end, Shatner expresses sadness that they'd had a rift in their friendship, & that Nimoy's long habit of cigarette smoking [& drinking] caught up w/ him as disease
