this was good(!)

a catering memoir [more or less], by brothers Matt & Ted

we're taken from hiring to showtime in the NYC catering business, from weddings to art galleries, where everything must be *perfect* or else

we're given a glorious insiders-perspective into what preparation, transport, cooking, & cleanup looks like, as well as pitfalls & successes, w/ a throughline of "let's do it again tomorrow" [shorthand: little time to dwell; keep runnin'/movin'(!)]

overall, it's a great & accurate peek into this biz, emphasizing its peculiarities & trends [like food allergies/preferences becoming much more common, & the subsequent issues that presents] 👍👍👍
