it's good(!)

i like these Questlove music history books -- they're a good reminder to explore the artists w/ renewed interest

here we have hip-hop from its earliest incarnations up to basically the present [w/ major movements, key players, significant albums...]

he talks about Sly & The Family Stone, Run DMC, Public Enemy, Wu-Tang Clan, 2Pac, & so much more

i'll be queuing up some of these albums pronto(!)
