wow, this was good(!!)

a collection of stories about dogs from letters sent into a magazine [Garden & Gun], as well as stories by the author(s); to make for an enjoyable excursion into dog-life for so many people

we hear of birding dogs [sometimes getting in real trouble when eating neighbor chickens, or when moving to NYC & eating pigeons... lol]

we hear of folks who refuse surgeries & high expenses, figuring they'd take 'Ol Yeller out back,' to then watch their beloved recuperate & heal up [good enough] on their own, saving the owners $14,000+ & giving their companions better lives...

​​​​​​​we get tidbits about breeds, ranging from pitbulls to shiba inus, labs & mutts, etc. etc.
