well this was good -- an old old old [Babylonian is the claim] collection of tablets, translated, & presented here as creation & flood myths(!)

we learn about Absu [the abyss, space, hehe], & Marduk [mighty king of the gods, more or less] who defeats Tiamat [a primordial serpent] & uses her corpse to create Earth & its heavens, etc.

good stuff(!)

this book also contains "Atrahasis," which is a flood myth -- similar although different from Noah [many many parallels tho]

ultimately, it's nice to expand the lexicon
