well this was fun(!)

w/ a healthy grain of salt, we take a stroll down the history of attempts at simplifying written English into something easier

from through, threw, thru, & other similar word phenomenon, like plough to plow, etc. we can see where the system IS a bit complicated, & we can also appreciate some of the retained etymology therein

ultimately, it concludes w/ famous attempts, from authors to dictionary authors to politicians to make some headway, backtracking w/ the invention of the Spelling Bee & making great strides w/ text messaging & modern usage, where acronyms [OMG WTF] are common, if U C Wut I Meen, basically

so right on(!), food for thought
