"Captivating" by John & Stasi Eldredge

really good(!)

been through a series of John's books ["Fathered By God," "Wild At Heart," "Killing Lions," etc.] & knew about this one through those -- that is to say, what "Wild At Heart" is for men -- this is for women

they innumerate keys: 
1) the desire to be romanced
2) the desire to unveil beauty
3) the desire to be part of a glorious adventure

well that's good(!)

it goes into how women are hurt & limited by [often] family, & things that are said -- or NOT said [withheld, like affection]

much of this is through Christian ministry; so a huge message is "come to Jesus," which is actually fair

ultimately, it's a sane, refreshing approach to getting at the unique desires/goals/makeup of women
