"Back to Work" by Bill Clinton
book review by Riley Burnham 8/5/2022
well this was pretty good -- felt like a relapping of Clinton's presidency, w/ explanations & explorations of policies past & present
it felt a lot like a stump speech for Hillary - go figure, & leans heavily on figures & numerical extrapolations -- save $$__ here over __ years basically, repeat repeat -- perhaps sound, perhaps [other stuff] -- nice to hear proposals & discussions of actual policies...
Clinton actually strikes me as a pretty politically wise leader: he had the economy geared up to seemingly prosper, & claims his stuff would have resulted in national debt payoff by 2013 (wow); except for the wars & other disastrous turnarounds, which have pushed us up to extreme(!) debt
he pushes Green Energies, for better or worse, & cites other countries & their ~effective strategies for creating energy & reducing waste
i imagine this book was intended to help Hillary's candidacy prospects, which, either way, it creates for an interesting read & a promising refresher of what Bill's policies & approaches were
