this books spans a great deal of content, ranging from specialty senses various animals have, as well as, in finale, curbing human over-influences of these instruments

we learn about insects playing music [mating & other] on leaves using vibration; about elephants sensing w/ their feet; about echolocation differing between, for instance, bats & dolphins; & all kinds of other stuff...
