these have been displaying errors for months ongoing, on seemingly all Hostgator -> C-Panel -> File Manager sites/pages

updating videos daily produces the same result...

Hostgator reset the Apache server affiliated w/ my account & advised checking back in 15 minutes if still having issues [good news]

they are concerned only w/ server-end issues rather than "scripting end" or whatnot...

COMMUNITY:

Embedded videos starting giving "An Error Occurred." message

FIXED:

the issue is related to C-Panel [& WordPress] changing the HTML of video embeds when switching to Preview Mode [the standard WYSIWYG HTML editor]; so whenever one looks at a page [like usual] then saves, it overrides the embed into the corrupt variant above [sigh]
